Painting for the Calgary Public Library Stampede Parade Float

This year on July 9th 2010, I’ve been asked by the Calgary Public Library to paint all the character faces for their stampede float including Little Red Riding Hood, Ramses & Cleopatra, a Pirate, Ali Baba, Cinderella and more!  How exciting!

The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, attracted 1,186,000 visitors in 2009 and features the world’s largest rodeo, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing and First Nations exhibitions. Calgary takes on a party atmosphere during Stampede; residents don western wear and events held across the city include ever popular pancake breakfasts and barbecues.  Check out the Calgary Stampede website for more information
